Ingredients
For the Stir-Fry:

  • -1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • -2 tbsp vegetable oil (or sesame oil for extra flavor)
  • -1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • -1 yellow bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • -1 cup broccoli florets
  • -1 small onion, sliced
  • -2 garlic cloves, minced
  • -1-inch piece of ginger, grated

For the Sauce:

  • -3 tbsp soy sauce
  • -2 tbsp oyster sauce (or hoisin sauce for a sweeter touch)
  • -1 tbsp honey (optional for sweetness)
  • -1 tsp cornstarch (mixed with 1 tbsp water for thickening)
  • -1 tsp sesame oil (for extra aroma)
  • Optional Garnish:

Sesame seeds
Chopped green onions

Prepare the Shrimp:
Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels. Season lightly with salt and pepper.

Make the Sauce:
In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey (if using), and cornstarch slurry. Set aside.

Cook the Vegetables:
Heat 1 tbsp of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add broccoli, bell peppers, and onion. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp. Remove and set aside.

Cook the Shrimp:
In the same skillet, add the remaining oil. Toss in the shrimp, garlic, and ginger. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.

Combine & Sauce:
Return the cooked vegetables to the skillet. Pour in the prepared sauce and stir well. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats everything evenly.
